Choosing the right website platform

Building a website starts with one loaded question: which platform? We'll be upfront about our bias — we build exclusively on Webflow, and we'll tell you exactly why. But every option has a real place, so here's an honest look at the top five before we make the case.

The five you'll weigh up

  • WordPress — powers over 40% of the web. Free, open-source, endlessly extensible through plugins and themes. Powerful, but you maintain the plugin stack yourself.
  • Wix — drag-and-drop, no code, plenty of templates. Fine for a simple site put up fast.
  • Squarespace — polished templates and a focus on visual content. Good for a clean, attractive site.
  • Shopify — the go-to for ecommerce, with payments, inventory, and shipping built in. Strong if selling is the whole point.
  • Webflow — visual design with real depth, custom layouts and interactions, no plugin sprawl underneath.

Why we build on Webflow

We chose Webflow, and we build on it exclusively, for five reasons:

  • Flexibility: complete control over design and interactions, no template ceiling.
  • Scalability: add pages and features as the business grows.
  • Performance: fast loading that keeps users and helps rankings.
  • SEO and AEO: clean semantic markup that Google and AI engines read with ease.
  • Control: your marketing team manages content without a developer.

Other platforms do pieces of this well. Webflow does all of it without trading away performance or design freedom. It's how we translated Omniwatt's complex Figma prototype into a pixel-perfect site, and migrated McLean Financial Services off a clunky legacy build to lift their traffic 300%.

So here's the honest filter: if you specifically want a WordPress or Wix build, we're not your team, and that's fine. If you want design freedom, speed, and a site you actually control, that's the foundation of our custom Webflow website design work.

What we actually do

00

Brand Identity & Strategy

A brand identity has to do more than look good. It has to reflect what you stand for and pull customers toward you. We dig into how your business actually works, then line your message up with what your buyers actually want.

00

UX/UI & Digital Product Design

We design interfaces people understand without a manual. We cut the clutter, smooth the journey, and map a logical structure from the very first screen — so users convert instead of leaving.

Custom Webflow Website Design

We build only in Webflow, on the Lumos framework. No breakable WordPress plugins, strong security by default, and clean semantic markup that both Google and AI search engines read with ease.
