The Results
Delivered a strategic brand that significantly enhanced NorOilTools' industry recognition, positioning a lean Norwegian innovator to take its oilfield tools to market and compete on the global stage.
The Problem
NorOilTools solved a real problem in well decommissioning: their Nor Tubular Cutter severs tubing and casing downhole faster and more cleanly, cutting rig time, cost, and HSE risk when operators plug and abandon old wells. As a lean, founder-led company established in 2016, though, they had a category-leading product wrapped in an identity that didn't carry its weight. To win work from major operators and stand alongside global service names, the team needed a brand that made their innovation obvious the moment anyone encountered it.
The Agitation
A superior tool means little if operators don't recognize the company behind it. NorOilTools was competing for high-stakes decommissioning contracts against far larger, established service providers, yet their brand gave buyers little reason to trust a young Norwegian outfit with expensive rig time on the line. Without an identity that signaled credibility and innovation at first glance, the founders risked their genuine engineering advantage going unnoticed in tender rooms and on trade floors, slowing the commercial traction the Nor Tubular Cutter deserved.

The Solution
We built the NorOilTools brand from strategy upward to take both the product and the company to market. We shaped a confident identity around their core promise — new solutions to known challenges — and translated the founders' straightforward, results-driven ethos into a look that reads as credible and genuinely innovative to operators and decommissioning buyers. From the identity system through to the collateral that carries the Nor Tubular Cutter into tender rooms and trade floors, we gave NorOilTools a brand that positions them as serious contenders in a market dominated by much larger players.

The Result
Our strategic brand work significantly enhanced NorOilTools' industry recognition, positioning the company as true innovators in global oilfield solutions rather than a promising unknown. The NorOilTools team now takes the Nor Tubular Cutter and their wider product range to market with an identity that matches the ambition of the engineering, opening doors with major operators and giving a lean Norwegian company the presence to compete against far larger names. With 110-plus jobs completed and field work for operators like ONE-Dyas, the brand now carries a reputation the product has earned.
